Have you ever had one of those “what just happened?” moments that turns into a divine reminder?
That was me today.
I was heading into the Starbucks drive-thru when a car tried to cut me off—hard. They nearly hit the side of my SUV. I paused. Looked over. But with their tinted windows, I couldn’t even see who it was. I thought about it for a moment… and then I kept it moving. I placed my order, pulled forward, and kept my peace.
But as I waited in line, I felt that familiar nudge in my spirit:
“Pay for their order too.”
Whew. Not a suggestion. A whisper of obedience.
I didn’t argue with it—I’ve learned that God honors obedience, even in small things.

So when I got to the pick-up window, I told the barista, “I’d like to pay for the car behind me. They must be having a hard day.”
And do you know what she said?
“Your order is free.”
I nearly teared up. Not because of the coffee, but because of the confirmation.
Sometimes, the people who wrong you are the very ones God wants you to bless. Not because they deserve it—but because you’re called to be a reflection of grace, not reaction.
This moment reminded me that obedience isn’t always convenient. It rarely feels fair. But it’s always rewarded.
So here’s your reminder:
Respond in grace. Say yes to the nudge. Be the light. Because you never know what blessing is already on its way to you.
